Low pressure dominates over the continent


Monday
Rain for northern parts of Spain. A few showers in western Portugal otherwise the rest of Iberia is dry and sunny. Some broken cloud in the Balearics. Heavy showers for Sardinia and Corsica with heavy rain in northern Italy, showers in the south. Greece will be fair and sunny with more sunshine affecting Turkey too. Unsettled with wind and a risk of some heavy, thundery rain in France. Heavy rain for the Low Countries and western Germany, a few showers in the east. Poland will be mostly dry and cloud. Patchy rain in Hungary and Austria with some rain in western parts of Switzerland, heavy snow for the Alps. Denmark will be fair with sunshine throughout. Windy and a few bright spells for the Baltic States although a risk of snow in the east. Windy and cold in Finland, dry in the west but snow later in the east. Some showers showers in eastern Sweden and breezy here. Norway is cold and mostly dry.


Tuesday
Rain moves into northwestern Spain and Portugal whilst southern Iberia stays dry. Showers for the Balearics. Mostly dry for Corsica and Sardinia. Showery for southern Italy. Heavy rain and mountain snow for the Balkans and mainland Greece, also western Turkey.
Chilly across central Europe. Patchy rain for France, some more persistent snowfalls into the Alps, affecting southern Germany and Austria. Unsettled with rain and snow for central Germany and southern Poland. Snow for the mountains of Romania too.
Local showers toward the coast for the Netherlands, but largely dry through the Low Countries. Showery for western Norway. Mostly dry in Denmark. Snor for eastern Sweden and Finland. Very cold across Scandinavia.
