Very warm eastern Europe

Tuesday
A frontal system moves across Iberia from the west, bringing heavy rain to southern Spain, followed by a cool and showery pattern for Portugal. North-east Spain, plus the west and south of France will be generally dry.
Low pressure moves north to bring heavy rain and gales to north-east France, the Low Countries and western Germany. A risk of snow over higher ground. Rain and snow also affects Norway and Sweden. Gales for the Baltic Sea.
Clusters of thundery showers affect the western Mediterranean, Italy and the Balkans. Much of Greece and areas toward the Black Sea will stay dry and warm. Bursts of rain at times for Hungary and western Romania. A waft of warm air extends north across eastern Europe, 20C in Poland.

Wednesday
South-west Europe stays unsettled, with thundery rain for France, Spain and Portugal. Some thundery bursts for the central-western Med, but much of the spine of Italy should be dry, and the eastern Med looks mostly fair.
High pressure over Russia maintains a warm southerly airflow over eastern Europe. Topping 25C around the Black Sea, and widely into the 20s for Hungary and Poland. Generally dry for eastern countries. Much of Germany should be dry, whilst some rain may affect northern France and Belgium, highs 10 to 15C. Rain pushes north across Norway and Sweden, with brisk winds around the Baltic. Becoming drier for southern Scandinavia, and quite mild at 13C.
