Winds strengthening over northern Europe this weekend
A few showers for the far northwest of Spain on Saturday where it will feel fresher than it has done of late. Elsewhere across Spain and Portugal it will be a dry and very warm day. Dry, bright and very warm for the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia, much of Italy, the Balkans, Greece and Turkey. A few showers for the Italian Alps and for the far east of Turkey.
A breezy day for northern France, the Low Countries and northern Germany with showery outbreaks of rain at times. Further south over France it will be warmer with just a few isolated showers. Showers at times too for Poland, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. These could be heavy and thundery at times.
Denmark will be rather breezy too on Saturday with outbreaks of rain. Heavy spells of rain affecting southern parts of Norway and Sweden where it will also be windy. Finland and the Baltic States see a dry and bright start to the day though cloud will build and showers will develop through the afternoon.
Further showers affecting far northern parts of Spain on Sunday but dry and bright elsewhere across Iberia. Feeling fresher too for much of Spain and Portugal. Continuing very warm, dry and bright for Corsica, Sardinia, much of Italy, the Balkans, Greece and Turkey. Further showers over the Italian Alps and for far northeastern parts of Turkey.
Fresh winds and outbreaks of showery rain continue for northern France and the Low Countries. Heavy, thundery downpours possible over central and southern France. A mostly dry and fair day for Germany though thundery showers could edge into southwestern areas later. Thundery showers affecting Switzerland too while Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia should see a mostly dry and fine day.
Showers and fresh winds affecting Denmark on Sunday while outbreaks of rain clear to the north from the Baltic States leaving a dry and bright evening. Outbreaks of rain spread north across Norway, Sweden and Finland. Brightening from the south later but staying rather breezy.
