Wind and rain in central and northern Europe, colder Scandinavia

Wednesday
More rain for northern Spain in the morning but this breaks up. Showery for Portugal, but mostly dry toward the south of Iberia. Showery across the Mediterranean and southern Italy, but a much better day across most of Italy. Heavy rain affects Greece and western Turkey, snow on the mountains.
Rain sweeps east across France into the Low Countries then Germany later. Showers follow from the west on brisk winds. Dry much of the day for eastern Germany and Poland, mostly cloudy. Fine for much of the Alps. Areas of rain and mountain snow for Hungary and Romania.
Heavy rain for southern Norway. Patchy drizzly rain for southern Sweden. Dry and cold for northern Scandinavia, whilst Finland may see a few snow flurries on brisk easterly winds.

Thursday
Rain in northern and western parts of Spain today. Further rain and some showers in Portugal. Fair for the east and south of Spain with sunny spells. Italy will be dry with some sunshine and it will be staying fair in Greece too. Heavy showers in Turkey, most of them in the east.
Rain and wind for the northwest of France. Fair in the south and east of France. Windy in the Low Countries but dry until evening. Some rain in eastern Germany, but fair in the west. A few showers or rain in Poland. Broken cloud in Hungary and Austria with a scattering of showers. Dry for Switzerland with some sunny spells.
Cloud in Denmark with a few spots of drizzle. Cold for the Baltic States with sunny spells. Staying cold and breezy in Finland. Chilly too in Sweden, some wintry showers in the east. Some wind and rain or sleet in southwestern Norway, tending to be drier to the north although cloud.
