Heavy rain and showers together with strong winds in the west, drier and milder east


Thursday
Heavy rain and gale force winds through Portugal, western and southern Spain on Thursday. Drier in the east with brighter spells. Showers in Corsica but fine through Sardinia. Greece and Turkey should be dry with good spells of sunshine.
Wind and showery bursts of rain in western France. Further showersin southern France too. Drier in eastern rance as well as the Low Countries and breezy here. Sunny spells and dry conditions in Germany and Poland, mild. Hungary should be dry with sunny spells.Dry with some sunshine in Austria and Switzerland.
Fair for Denmark and breezy as well as mild. Staying dry with some sunshine in the Baltic States. Fair too in Finland and through Sweden. Showers in western Norway, these wintry in the north.

Friday
An unsettled day through Portugal and Spain with heavy showers and some bands of rain passing through Iberia. More rain in the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Drier in Italy with sunny spells, some rain in the north. Greece will have heavy showers in the west, drier in the east. Turkey should be dry with good spells of sunshine here.
Heavy periods of rain through France with breezy conditions. Some brighter spells follow to the west. The Low Countries will have showers, these affecting western parts of Germany too. In the eastern half of German and Poland the day is dry and brighter. Hungary should be dry and bright. Austria and Switzerland will have rain, some of it heavy in the south.
Fair for Denmark and breezy here. Fair too through Sweden and much of the Baltic States. Sleet in Finland and cloudy too. Breezy in Norway with some showers in the wes. Temperatures generally close to normal here.
