Heavy rain in eastern Spain and the Balearics, drier in central areas, severe gales developing in Scandinavia


Wednesday
Heavy, thundery rain affecting much of eastern Spain on Wednesday. Wet too in the Balearics. Drier in eastern Portugal and central and southern Spain, but rain over the Portuguese coasts. Fair for Italy with sunshine here. Breezy in Greece, a few showers in the east. Showers in northern Turkey but fair and breezy to the south.
Fine and cold to start the day in France, the Low Countries and Germany. Fog patches lift to leave a fine day with plenty of sunshine. Frosty as well in Poland, Hungary, Austria and Switzerland but fine days here overall.
Breezy for Denmark with sunny spells. Fair for much of Norway, again with sunshine. Bright in the Baltic States, again with sunshine here. A few showers and breezy in Finland. Fair for Sweden and dry. Windy with rain and sleet in western Norway.

Thursday
Rain in eastern Spain today, some of it heavy. Wet again in the Balearics too. Better for the rest of Spain and Portugal with sunny spells. Rain in Corsica and across southern Italy. Greece should be dry with sunny spells. Breezy in Turkey, again with good spells of sunshine here.
A fair day in France with morning mist and fog patches lifting to leave sunny spells. Staying fair in the Low Countries and Germany, again with more sunshine. Breezy in northern Poland but fair and dry. It should be staying fair in Hungary, Austria and Switzerland with more sunshine here.
Windy for Denmark with broken cloud and some rain in the west. Windy too in the Baltic States with severe gales. These gales extending to Finland where there will be rain and sleet. More alke sin Sweden and through Norway. Some heavy rain and showers in the west and north of Norway.
