Breezy with some rain around the Baltic


Monday
High pressure influences western Europe, extending in from the Azores, with a fairly humid air mass in existence. Dry with lots of sunshine for France, Spain and Portugal, reaching 40C again in south-western Iberia. Clusters of thunderstorms breaking out for the Alps, also into the Czech Republic, Slovakia and into the mountains of Romania. Local thunderstorms for the spine of Italy, also Sardinia and Sicily. Hot and sunny for Hungary , Greece and much of the Balkan region, highs 30 to 34C. Dry and sunny around the Black Sea coasts.
Breezy for the Low Counties, Denmark and Germany, but staying dry with some sun, highs 22 to 25C. Humid with cloud for Poland, but mainly dry, 27 to 30C. Early rain clears from southern Sweden followed by a few showers. Rain moves across the southern Baltic through the day. Dry and bright for southern Norway, locally up to 21C. Cool and showery for northern Scandinavia, barely 10C in the Arctic circle.


Tuesday
Generally high pressure extends across Europe, bringing plenty of fair weather. Warm and humid for many areas. Approaching 40C again for south-west Spain and Portugal. 32 to 35C for southern France. Some thunderstorms breaking out for the Alps, and local showers for central Italy, plus the Mediterranean islands. A weak cold front passes south-east across eastern Europe triggering local thunderstorms. Hot and dry for much of south-eastern Europe
Small chance of a shower for the Low Countries, otherwise nrothern Europe will be dry. High pressure builds from Germany into southern Scandinavia, giving dry and sunny conditions here. A fresh westerly breeze for the northern Baltic, and the north of Norway will stay cool and showery.
