Becoming windy northern Europe; heavy rain moves into Scandinavia

Friday
Low pressure is to the northwest of Europe, and another low is over western Russia. Slack pressure lies toward the south of Europe. A cold front extends across France and northern Iberia. Showers easing over the northern half of Portugal and northwestern Spain where there will be fresher conditions throughout the day. Warm and dry elsewhere across Iberia. A warm and dry day for the Balearics, Corsica, Sardinia, Italy, Greece and Turkey. A few showers may develop at times for the Balkans.
Outbreaks of showery rain and thunderstorms will spread southeastward across France, Benelux and eventually into Germany. Showers easing to the east over Poland through the day to leave a dry and fair afternoon. Dry and fair conditions too for Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
A bright start to the day for Denmark though rain will move in from the southwest by evening. Heavy outbreaks of rain from early in the day for the Baltic States, clearing later. Dry and bright on the whole for Norway, Sweden and Finland though there will be showers at times, some of them heavy over southern Finland.

Saturday
High pressure builds across southwestern Europe, bringing a fair day to Spain, Portugal, southern France and the Mediterranean, including Italy, with lots of hot sunshine. A breeze from the north for the Greek Islands, but southeastern Europe will be generally dry, hot and sunny. A few showers breaking out over the Alps, as a weak cold front passes eastward. This feature also brings showery rain to the Czech Republic and Poland through the day.
Windy for northern-central Europe, with gusts near gale force around English Channel and some North Sea coasts. Showery conditions and feeling fresh for northern France and the Low Countries. Heavy rain moves into southern Norway and Sweden, with frequent bursts of rain too for Denmark through the day. Drier toward the north of Scandinavia, and dry much of the day for the Baltic states and Finland.
