High winds and heavy wintry precipitation for countries surrounding the Adriatic Sea on Monday

Monday
Rain continues for the northern coast of Spain through Monday and could be very heavy towards the western Pyrenees. Snow will also persist for the Pyrenees. Some showery rain for western Portugal while the rest of Iberia will see a mixture of cloudy skies and sunny spells. The Balearics will be rather overcast with a chance of showers while rain will persist for Corsica and Sardinia. Low pressure will bring heavy bursts of rain, falling as snow over the Appenines, to Italy though it should remain dry and bright in the southeast. Heavy rain and snow for western parts of Greece and the Balkans, dry and bright for eastern Greece and Turkey.
Monday sees a mixture of sunny spells and cloudy skies for much of France with some snow showers lingering in the southeast and light rain moving into the northwest. An overcast day for Benelux with rain and snow easing through the afternoon but leaving showers in its wake. A chance of snow for much of Germany on Monday with the exception of the northeast where it will be showery. Light snowfall is expected too for Switzerland and eastern parts of Austria. Wintry showers for the Czech Republic while it should remain largely dry but cloudy for Poland.
Snow showers for Denmark on Monday while a band of snow will move from south to north across the Baltics throughout the day. Snow will move into southern Finland by the late afternoon too. Snow will also spread northward through Sweden on Monday and will linger for southeastern parts of Norway too. A separate band of snow will impact western parts of Norway too through the day on Monday.

Tuesday
A band of heavy rain mixed with some sleet and snow will spread south and eastward through Iberia on Tuesday. Overcast with a chance of showers for southern parts of Portugal and Spain and for the Balearics. Dry and fine for Corsica, Sardinia and the northern half of Italy while the southern half of Italy will stay rather overcast with a wintry mix of showers. Greece will see some heavy bursts of rain and snow on Tuesday which will also affect far western fringes of Turkey too.
A low pressure system bringing a mixture of strong winds and heavy rain and snow will move into western France on Tuesday morning spreading eastward through the day. It will be a mixed day for the Low Countries and Germany with partly cloudy skies, sunny spells and wintry showers. Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland will start Tuesday cloudy with wintry showers though cloud should break to leave a dry and bright afternoon for most areas.
A brighter day for Denmark on Tuesday though wintry showers could develop in the north and west through the afternoon. A band of heavy snow will move northward through the Baltics and into Finland on Tuesday leaving light wintry showers in its wake. An area of light snowfall will also move northward through Sweden leaving a dry and bright afternoon for the south while away from the far southern and western coasts of Norway it will be a largely dry and fine day too.
