Increasingly dry and settled over western Europe
Thundery showers continue for Spain first thing but these clear to the northeast through the day. Dry, warm and sunny across the rest of the Iberian peninsula. The Balearics, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy could see isolated light showers at times. These becoming heavier and more frequent over Italy through the afternoon. Early thunderstorms should clear from Greece but move into western Turkey through the afternoon. Cooler conditions with isolated showers follow from the northwest.
A mostly dry and fair day for France, the Low Countries and Germany though there will be scattered showers at times for eastern France, Belgium and southern Germany. A showery day for the Czech Republic, Austria, southwestern Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. Some of the showers may be thundery and they may merge at times to give longer spells of light rain.
A dry and mostly bright day for Denmark. Scattered showers affecting eastern parts of Finland and the the Baltic States but elsewhere it should be dry and bright. Isolated showers affecting southern parts of Norway and Sweden. These merging to give longer spells of rain for southwestern Sweden.
A sunny, warm and mostly dry day for the Iberian peninsula. Eastern parts of Spain, including Valencia, Murcia and Castile-La Mancha, could see some afternoon thunderstorms. Heavy rain for northern Italy and Corsica will edge southward throughout the day affecting much of Italy and into northern Sardinia. Rain easing slightly as it moves south. Some showers affecting eastern parts of Greece and Turkey, drier and bright to the west.
A dry and fair day for much of France, Germany and the Low Countries. Showers affecting Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic through the day but these clearing through the afternoon. Dry and fair for much of Poland, Slovakia and Hungary though western areas could see isolated showers.
Cloudy but dry for Denmark while scattered showers will affect the Baltic States through the afternoon. Sunny spells and isolated showers for Norway and Finland while a band of heavy, sometimes thundery, rain will work its way southeastward across the southern half of Sweden.
