Hot and sunny southern Europe, showers in central areas


Wednesday
Widespread high pressure will lead to warm, dry weather across Spain, southern France and Greece. Some showers in the Pyrenees. Turkey will be warm and dry, with a few showers possible in the north. Italy will see showers in northern areas.
Germany and Poland will see variable cloud and showers, especially in the north. Switzerland and western Austria will see showers becoming heavier over the day. Showers more freqent in Eastern Europe and maybe thundery in Romania and Ukraine.
Norway will see freqent rain and clouds in the north and west. Finland will be largely dry with some rain in the north. Southern Sweden will see higher temperatures, up to 26C.


Thursday
Hot and sunny across Spain and Portugal on Thursday. The sunshine extends into most of the central Mediterranean, affecting Italy, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily and the Balearics. Greece is going to be fine too, again with more sunshine here. Further sunshine for Turkey and staying very warm.
France should have a fine day with plenty of sunshine and will be remaining warm. The Low Countries will be dry, although some showers affet parts of northern Germany, with some heavier showers in the south. These heavier showers and thunderstorms will also be affeting Switzerland and western Austria, although eastern Austria should be dry and sunny. More sunshine to come in Hungary.
Denmark and the south of Sweden should be dry with sunshine here. Dry and sunny for Norway. The Baltic States will be dry with more sunshine to come here. A few showers affecting northern and western coasts of Norway, otherwise dry.
