High pressure building over western Europe will bring increasingly settled conditions to the region while a looping jet stream will bring low pressure systems tracking across eastern parts of the continent bringing rather unsettled conditions.
A mostly dry and bright day for Spain and Portugal with cloud clearing to the east through the morning. Remaining overcast for much of the day for the Balearics. Dry and bright for northern Italy too with some showers in the south which may turn to snow over the Appenines. Heavy rain and snow for the Balkans while showers will affect western parts of Greece and Turkey.
France will see a mixture of sunny spells and showers on Monday with snowfall for southeastern areas. The best of the bright weather will be in the north. Mostly overcast with a chance of showers for the Low Countries while southern parts of Germany could see some wintry showers. Drier and brighter in the north. Further snow for Switzerland and Austria while the Czech Republic and Slovakia should stay dry.
Windy but dry and bright for Denmark while a low pressure system will bring breezy winds, heavy rain and snow to the Baltic states. Snow for western Finland and southwestern Sweden but otherwise it will be dry and bright. Western areas of Norway will also see persistent snowfall on Monday.
Dry, bright and warm for Portugal, Spain, the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia on Tuesday. Dry and bright for much of Italy too with just a small chance of a light shower in the south. Heavy showers across Greece will ease to the southeast through the afternoon while heavy rain will affect western Turkey through the day.
Bright and dry for France and the Low Countries though cloud could build in from the northwest through the day. Mostly dry and bright too for Germany with wintry showers in the south easing through the morning. Wintry showers for Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
Dry but rather overcast for Denmark on Tuesday while a band of snow will move to the east across the Balkans through the morning leaving a dry and bright afternoon. A mixture of sunny spells and cloudy skies for much of Finland and Sweden but staying mostly dry. Western and southern parts of Norway will see further snow.
