Cool but mainly dry and fair for southwestern Europe, a mixture of broken cloud, sunny spells and wintry precipitation elsewhere
A chilly day over Spain and Portugal. Staying cold too in the Balearics with a risk of showers. The cold weather and showers reach Corsica and Sardinia as well as across much of Italy. Sunny spells and showers in Greece and feeling cool here. Rain, perhaps snow, in western Turkey but dry to the east.
Cool with sunny spells in France, feeling cold in the far south of France as a Mistral wind develops. Cloud and some showery rain and sleet passing through the Low Countries and Germany. Poland will have some cloud and periods of rain, most in the north. Fair and cold through Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Breezy and bright for Denmark. Snow in Finland and breezy here too, becoming colder later. Heavy snow and gales in Finland, feeling very cold here. Windy with sunny spells and cold in Sweden. Frequent, heavy snow showers in western and northern Norway with gales making it feel very cold.
Staying cool for Spain and Portugal but it should be dry and bright on Saturday. Cloud should clear away from the Balearics in the morning to leave a bright afternoon while the day will start bright for Corsica and Sardinia but cloud over in the afternoon. A cool, dry and bright day for Italy with a chance of some broken cloud and scattered showers in the south. Heavy rain and possible snow showers for Greece and western Turkey.
An overcast day for much of France with scattered rain and snow showers in the south first thing before a heavier band of rain moves in from the north. A wet day for Benelux and Germany as a band of heavy rain moves slowly southeastward across western Europe while Poland starts the day cloudy but dry before snow and rain move in through the evening. Further snowfall is expected in western Austria and, later, in the Czech Republic.
A wet and windy day for Denmark as a spell of prolonged rain through the morning gives way to showers during the afternoon. Overcast with scattered snow showers for the Baltics and Finland while southern parts of Sweden and southern and western parts of Norway will see prolonged spells of rain and snow.
