Heavy rain and thunderstorms in central Europe, much colder too


Wednesday
Heavy and thundery showers or rain affecting northern Spain and western Portugal today. Dry with sunshine in the rest of Iberia. A fair day for Corsica and Sardinia. Scattered thundery showers in Italy. Greece should be fine and warm. Plenty of sunshine for much of Turkey, although some showers to the north.
France will have a very unsettled day. There will be heavy and thundery showers or longer spells of rain. Further rain and showers in the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland. It is likely to be wet in Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland with further showers.
Denmark may have a few showers to the south, but fair elsewhere. A few showers in Denmark. Finland will be dry with sunny spells. Sweden will be bright with some sunshine. Norway will be seeing some showers developing in the afternoon.

Thursday
Heavy showers through northern parts of Spain on Thursday. Further showers in central parts of Spain and Portugal too. Cool with showers in the Balearics. Heavy showers in northern Italy but fair elsewhere with sunny spells. Greece and Turkey should be dry with lots of sunshine.
Heavy rain, thundery at times in France with a risk of flooding. The Low Countries and Germany will have heavy showers or longer spells of rain. Poland will be fair in the west with sunshine, but there will be rain in the east. Showers in Hungary, mainly fair in Austria. Further heavy rain and thunderstorms in Switzerland.
Rain and thundery showers in Denmark, some of them heavy. More sunshine and dry weather in Norway. Showers for the Baltic States and through Finland, some of it heavy. Further showers, some heavy for Norway and heavy here too.
